Private purchase Sebastopol overturned hot favourite Stage Star in the Grade-2 Berkshire Novices' Chase at Newbury. Sebastopol has proved an excellent servant to trainer Tom Lacey and owners Clive & Charmaine Boultbee-Brooks; this was his seventh sucess under rules amassing just under £175,000 in prize money.

Tattersalls Book 2 Yearling purchase Knight strode clear to register an impressive success on just his second career start in the G3 Horris Hill Stakes at Newbury. The Mehmas half-brother to G1-placed filly Malavath has won both of his races in exciting fashion and will be an exciting prospect for next season for owners KHK Racing and trainers Simon & Ed Crisford.

Goffs foal purchase, Rumbles Of Thunder, wins her first Group race to add to her two Listed victories. This tough and versatile filly powered clear in the Group-3 Give Thanks Stakes at Cork for trainer Paddy Twomey and will now aim at some exulted targets this autumn.

Tattersalls October Book 2 yearling purchase Rosscarbery, won her second Group-3 contest within a month with a tough front-running performance in the Stanerra Stakes at Leopardstown for trainer Paddy Twomey and owner Robert Moran. This rapidly improving daughter of Sea The Stars suffered some bad luck when disqualified from third place in the Group-1 Pretty Polly Stakes, but bounced back just ten days later to prove her class. Hopefully she can step up to Group-1 company again this Autumn.

Goffs December Yorton Sale purchase Lookaway added to his Point-to-Point victory for Sean Doyle and to his debut Bumper win at Newbury with a stellar performance to romp away with the Grade-2 Bumper at Aintree's prestigious Grand National Meeting. He is now proven as one of the top Bumper performers in the UK and we look forward to tracking his progress over obstacles in the future.

A great day with two Group-1 winners for our clients bred out of mares purchased on their behalf.
Congratulations to Philippa Cooper of Normandie Stud on breeding a Classic winner; G1 St Leger victor Hurricane Lane out of the mare Gale Force, purchased with Philippa at the Tattersalls December Broodmare Sale.
Congratulations also to Noel, Charles and Paul O'Callaghan on the G1 Matron Stakes success of their own No Speak Alexander, bred at their Mountarmstrong Stud. She is the first foal out of Rapacity Alexander who was purchased as a yearling at Tattersalls Book 2 yearling sale on their behalf and won a Listed race before embarking on what has started as an extremely promising career as a broodmare.

It was a wonderful weekend at the Curragh with two Group-1 winners out of broodmares sourced for our breeding clients. Hurricane Lane, bred by Philippa Cooper's Normandie Stud out of Tattersalls December Sale purchase Gale Force, showed class and tenacity to win the Group-1 Irish Derby. The following day Thundering Nights, owned and bred by Shapoor Mistry of Manjri Stud Farm, was a very brave winner of the Group-1 Pretty Polly Stakes. Thundering Nights was purchased in utero when her dam Cape Castle was prchased at the Tattersalls February Sale. Congratulations to everyone involved.

Smooth victory for No Speak Alexander in G3 Athasi Stakes at the Curragh. Her dam, Rapacity Alexander, was purchased as a Tattersalls October Book 2 yearling. She went on to win a Listed race and the mating with Shalaa was then advised which produced No Speak Alexander. The Irish 1,000 Guineas will be next. Congratulations to all connections.

Arqana Breeze-Up purchase Midnight Sands made it six in a row in Dubai with an impressive performance in the G3 Burj Nihaar at Meydan. Returning from a trip to USA, Midnight Sands confirmed his love for Dubai with a taking success that sets him up for the G2 Godolphin Mile on Dubai World Cup night. Congratulations to his owners The Cool Silk Partnership and trainer Doug Watson.
